Need video card $150 budget - Page 2

I would recommend getting a unlocked 6950 if you dont mind buying used, around the same performance as a 7870 depending on overclocks

I would recommend a 6870. Still a very good card and can be found cheap.

Or a 560: http://www.overclock.net/t/1321605/asus-560-1gb-dcii-oc-2di-1gd5

I can never understand why people quote products out of the OP's clearly stated budget...

You can get a 7850 if you spend $30 more....
**** if your spending $30 more why not spend $80....
Hell if your spening $80 more why not spend $200 more.....

I suggest a GTX690..... Its only $850 more....

I'd get either a HD6850 or a HD6870 and they both can max out the games that you want to play. They are relatively cheap now.

Check all of the used markets, you can ge some really good deals. 6870s are only like $100 these days, which is a great deal. 560TIs are used in your range. If you can get a GTX480 used in your range that may be the best bang for you buck,

people say that because sometimes there is a disproportionate and huge performance increase for a meagre price increase. For just 30 bucks more HD 7850 is a huge step up. overclocks very well and scales to GTX 580 performance at 1.2 Ghz. would some people when making a purchase be willing to consider the huge perf increase for the small price increase ? May be !!! You never know. Thats why forum users give their opinion . its upto the OP to decide. its people like you who are not doing any help by ridiculing others .

for $150 a 6870 would be a good buy. or a 650 ti if are interested in assassins creed 3
post #19 of 23
GTX 480 simply because it would smoke a 6870, provided you don't mind a little extra heat.

Craigslist and Ebay have multiple 480's for $150 and below.
