Offtopic: I'm bit surprised, why are USA contracts so expensive and with very limited data usage? Here's Finnish prices for comparison: I'm currently paying 1,5$ for 5 Mbps connection with unlimited data tongue.gif. This was special offer but generally you can get unlimited 3G connection for less than 20$, 4G is of course bit more expensive. My bills are usually about 10$ / month including messaging and calls.

I'm getting Lumia 920 before December, just have to decide what color, leaning towards red atm.

the american contracts are actually cheap compared to the canadian ones, but it has to do with the amount of square area to cover with 3g/4g/LTE towers. if the USA was the size of finland it would have LTE coverage for dirt cheap, but since they have to built hundreds of thousands if not millions of towers to cover the entire country the price of their services is increased to compensate and recoup the "startup" costs.

don't get me wrong the cell phone providers make plenty of money and should pass some of that back onto to consumer. that won't happen anytime soon however.

now to give a perspective, there are american plans that include unlimited data, atleast more so then here in canada

for me to get unlimited nationwide calling, unlimited incoming and texting(picture/video included) +6 gigs of data i pay 88 a month + tax (the calling is actually 3000 anytime minutes but i know nobody that talks more than 2.5 hours a day). Comes out to 99.XX a month

Emm, exclusive rights to the 920... for 30+ days, but no rights to variants of the 920. (ie: 922, etc.) Just like the 820 and then the 822 coming out this month for Verizon.

I haven't heard any official announcements of the 922 coming to Verizon.

No 922 for Verizon yet
Also watch the Windows Phone 8 Launch and skip to the part where Ballmer speaks.

Yeah, I hope you are right....but I don't think you are.
What is the purpose in paying for an exclusivity when all the phone manufacturer has to do is change the model number ever so slightly?

I am pretty sure that the exclusivity agreement that the phone service provider (AT&T in this case) signed and paid for would have some sort of info about that in the agreement. Otherwise what is the point in paying the money to have an exclusive phone?

Like I said, I hope you are right.

Edit: The exclusivity was just for the 920, not the 820. That is why, I think, you are seeing the 820 varients everywhere.
