Photoshop is not limitted to editing photos alone, but also used for digital painting and graphics. Advanced stuff. How much is PaintShop Pro X5 Ultimate sufficient for working with Wacom Intuos pen tablets (concept art, etc), doing UI / webdesign layouts? Do I need to use Corel Painter 12 for serious digital art? And what is the difference to Corel's Photo Paint X6, which is only available with the CorelDRAW Graphics Suite bundle?
I have the trial version of PaintShop Pro. It is kind of Phtoshop-ish. You can probably add much more brushes and things to make up for it.
I know PaintShop Pro can't be equal to Photoshop, but is it a good alternative? Or are there better ones? I guess Painter 12 is the way to go for a proffessional artist, but is PaintShop sufficient for the beginning?
