My Tempest should be here tomorrow. I only use DVI-D anyway, so single input + lower lag is worth paying $70 less. I also have a 1 year North American Warranty biggrin.gif

For a little bit more than this Monoprice will be released for, you can get the "unlocked" 120hz PCB on a tempest.. Or a perfect pixel for a little less.

EDIT: Is it me, or are alot of companies jumping on these 1440p Korean displays? Hopefully it'll drive down the prices for the Apple and Dell 27" displays thumb.gif

Except that, iirc, 120Hz isnt possible on DVI if you are running an AMD card (something to do with the limitations of their signal controller?)
Ive heard that it'll work on Display-port though.

thank you monoprice... *drops panties*.

Finally, US can get a warranted 1440p monitor without selling a kidney. Only reason why I avoided korean ones is I don't feel like paying 100 bucks to get it shipped back for warranty, then waiting another month to get it back.

120hz on the ips 1440p? Not worth it. Incredible motion blur makes it virtually unplayable. I don't see how people could even want this... I already get severe motion sickness as it is.

When they fix this, then yeah, I'll consider it. Till then, monoprice can have my monies.

Nah toasty fixed that with his patcher a while back, he even fixed the SLI limitation of only 100 hz on Fermi.

BEZEL MANAGEMENT!

this too. Is it soo hard to make thinner bezels like Dell?
Is there any particular reason why they don't make thin bezels like some lcds out there?

Someone has said it is because of the time it takes for the plastic to bond and producing thick bezels is more cost efficient since time==money.

I don't understand though, since there are quite a lot of thin bezzeled TVs out there how is that a problem?

Man, I might have to hold off on buying that Korean monitor to see how this thing looks.... The only thing that has slowed me down is my luck with monitors lately, but if I get a US warranty? I's on!
