whats your case like for ventilation,
ie at 4.4ghz at full folding load im at 64c hotest core atm.
how did you apply the thermal paste and what paste is it?!

Ventilation is stock HAF X fans. I have the side panel off because it seems to run just a tad cooler without it + I think it looks better.
Thermal paste was Artic Silver 5 and I spread it out with a debit card. My idle temps now have been consistently just below what they were when I ran this at stock before and under load hits 80's now after prime or BF3 for periods of time. My overclock settings are

1. VRM 350
2. By all cores at 42
3. CPU power at 120%, I forget if that's exactly what the option is called.

ok starters

1 you want a grain of uncooked rice size thermal paste in the midle of the cpu. dont spread.
2 get that cooler blowing air out of the case, ie up or back. it looks like your exhausting from rear and cooling the cpu the wrong way. so turn the cooler 180degrees.
3 you want 42multi. 100% cpu usage. infact just screen shot the bios (flash drive in any usb and then f12 to take a screenshot.)
4 tidy those cables that 4 pin wants to go behind the motherboard.!! neater cables=lower temps.

stick with me kid youll be fine!

make sure your air flow goes in 1 direction (check your fans)
ie in at the front/side, out at the top/back.

1. Oops..
2. I can't turn it around because then it hits the ram in either blue or black slot configs. I could turn it to face up but there is a fan above it blowing down.
3. That's exactly what I have set plus the VRM at 350. don't I need that for stability?
4. The CPU power cable isn't long enough to go around the back so I tried to make it as out of the way as possible.

Cleaner sorta. Also moved that fan 3pin power above instead of running down the side.

have the top fans exsuast the air and then turn the cooler to blow air up, its a passive form of push pull with a gap.thumb.gif

What's your cpu's voltage set to, and read in cpuz while running prime?
