I fail to see how that counters my opinion. I prefer the combat of previous Halo's vs Reach. I don't like armor abilities or loadouts. I never said Reach sucks; it just isn't a game I enjoyed playing. No need to shove your love of Reach down my throat.
Reach and CE*. Halo 4 may also fill that spot.

I was watching multiplayer videos and is it just me or were guys dying exceptionally fast? IDK it looked as though it doesn't take much to get killed. I haven't played halo in quite some time so it might just be me.

Well yeah, less skilled typically means you will die faster.

I'm referring to the amount of damage you can take opposed to other halo games not skill.

It varies in every Halo. And it can be modified in custom games. At least in Halo 3. I think i remember it being in 2. And I completely forgot if that feature was in Reach.

I don't think 25 hours is adequate at all to get a feel for the game. Did you ever play any custom games like zombies, glitching, tower of power, etc? Custom games were where the fun was had, and I don't think 25 hours is enough time to build up a good group of friends to really enjoy custom games in the first place. Damn dude I seriously wish you'd have given it some more time, you could have seen Halo 2 how me and many others do.

No, 25 hours to me is 50+ to the average user. I adapt extremely quickly.

Same here. I think 25 hours is plenty to get a feel for a game. If you have the time I'd say a weekend with two 6 hour gaming sessions (12 hours total) is plenty for the average person to get a feel for a game. Around the 50 hour mark, assuming the game lasts or hold interest that long, I've beaten most games.
For the Halo series, i'd say this stands true as well. All the different game modes and options aren't really any different in number than other online games for the most part. I know plenty of people and hung out with a few that played Halo pretty heavily and got bored after 2-3 months of regular playing. Not even hardcore-life dwindling playing... just 1-2 hours every to every other day. One or two guys played ~3 hours a day... every day... but there's a reason they never had a girlfriend or wife too lol.

I have hopes for Halo 4, but before I play it I plan to play the ones I missed and replay the originals to really keep in the 'zone' for the Halo universe. That's one thing I love about series like this. Continuity. Going from Halo to Halo and still being in the same universe. I'm on the fence for getting all this.. but probably will sometime soon.

Unless you were extremely sociable, I don't think you're getting my point. The fun was in custom games when playing with friends. (and new people alike) I almost never even played matchmaking at all throughout the 3/4 years of constant play. When I got into modding 2 years or so in, I was instantly banned from matchmaking, but since I only did customs I didn't care. If you already had tons of friends added playing Halo 2 within those 25 hours, got to try out the custom games like zombies, tower of power, glitching, etc then I would stop, but I have a hard time believing you really delved into what Halo 2 had to offer.

PS: Not to sound like a douche, but what you said sounded extremely pretentious... What makes you think the average person is so incompetent?

Please do no infer things. I never claimed anyone was incompetent. I claimed I was able to adapt faster than other people, which for the most part is true.
I did play some custom games in Halo 2 near the end of me playing it when I had it, they were decent.
