Get the one where you get to fly after making and putting on a ring.

I've had over 20+ mods running on Skyrim, and not a single BSOD. But if you haven't heard yet, you can actually get game crashes and BSOD's by playing a completely unmodified Skyrim game too!!!

Not in any particular order, I haven't played the game in a few months so I'm sure newer and better stuff is out there. I don't feel like linking them because I'm lazy and drunk but you can find them all at the:

skyrim.nexusmods.com

1. SkyUI
2. A Quality Road Map
3. Skyrim HD Textures
4. Static Mesh Improvement
5. Deadly Dragons
6. Enhanced Blood Textures
7. Dimonized Female Body
8. Realistic Water Textures
9. Glowing Ore Veins
10. Enhanced Night
11. Realistic Lighting with Customization
12. Improved NPC Clothing
13. Better Sorting
14. Unofficial Skyrim Patch
15. FXAA Post Processor Injector
16. Weapon Retexture Project
17. Apachii Sky Hair
18. Feminine Running Animation
19. Some Airship Housing Mod which i forgot what it was called....
20. Skyrim Script Extender which isn't really a mod but helps other mods work

There are 1 or 2 that I'm missing as well I'm sure, but that's mostly of the mods I had running.

Avoid anime mods or basically anything similar that will completely destroy the immersion. If you want the world to feel like it's as real as possible with realism focused in mind, you will need a whole assortment of mods to pull that off. Unfortunately I have no idea which ones to use as I use the worst search terms imaginable on skyrim nexus.

I recall my experience modding the game.... I used steam for my mod central. Get all the graphic enhancement mods you want, there should be a pack bundled up for download. Grab some mods to make the game harder, like more enemies randomly in wild, increased difficulty on certain things (like dragons if you can find), remove all the obvious pointers and objective arrows on the compass that make the game too easy. Using the map for something other than fast travel actually makes you feel smart.
