Absolutely, unless the description of the mod says you need a fresh game.

I add mods continually as I play the game, there isn't an issue as long as you save properly and safely remove them if needed and use the correct load order/check for any conflicts. I actually add about 1 mod every two days to my install it's stacking up quite a bit by now.

Major ones are Texture pack combiner, ENB, Dynamic Lights, Realistic Lighting, Dynamic Weather for visuals. I use Balanced Magic, Dual Combat, Dual Magic, Deadly Dragons, Economics of Skyrim, Frostfall, Realistic Needs, Enhanced High Level gameplay, things like that for difficulty and immersion. Lots of quest expansions, like the Dark Brotherhood one, Complete Crafting Overhaul, lots and lots of new animations, Immersive armour, Cloaks of Skyrim and many more for armour etc. SkyUI obviously, Use Catagorised Favourites menu and Better Sorting with that one. I use 2 or 3 soundtrack expansions, one is from the Workshop only though, Improved combat sounds, Sounds of Nature fire and water, Clinking Armour for more immersive sounds. Ultimate Follower Overhaul is a pretty major one, Spells give off light, Bandoleers and dynamic campfires, a couple of small immersion ones. Interesting NPCs is a must IMO. Some new races, body model mods etc etc. After a while you learn what is compatible with what and there are tools to make sure they are. Just start off with NMM and run BOSS every time you make a change, for now.

thanks a lot . but i still cant figure out whats the deal is with the skyrim script extender SKSE. do i really need it for the mods to work? how to install it , where to place it and i read you need to copy the source and script files from SKSE to the skyrim source and script file and replace it or something.
can anyone help me with this ?
Alright, first you go to Silverlock's SKSE page, then you download the Current Release build (1.06.04) then you open the .zip file you just downloaded. In here you will find a folder called skse_1_06_04, then you open that folder. Inside this folder there are several files. Copy all of them to your skyrim folder, to me it's C:\Games\skyrim, agree to any prompts you encounter.
You need this script extender since some of the mods (SkyUI amongst others) run scripts not recognized by the game, correct me if I'm wrong on this one, in order to manipulate the interface. It doesn't affect your performance at all.
I recommend using Nexus ModManager for your mods, and you can launch skse_loader.exe from within the application. Making everything much easier.

Are you serious or are you deliberately trolling? All he did extra was create a shortcut to his desktop, add the TESV icon to the shortcut and talk to you while doing it.

Agoriaz explained exactly how to do it, the same as in the video, it's nothing less simple than drag and drop.

OOPS sorry wasnt trolling. one more problem am facing now after installing all mods and SKSE .is when i launch the game through SKSE launcher icon is it gives an error please update to latest version of skyrim .
is it necessary to have the latest version installed even though i already installed the unofficial skyrim patch ?
Either update the game or go through the Silverlock archives to find the correct version of SKSE to use with your version? what version are you using? Either mouse-over the TESV.exe or right click and view details.

Steam should have given you the latest version (now 1.8) and the latest version of SKSE is v1.6.4 Unofficial patch is just a mod and has no effect.
