[BI] Apple Has To Apologize For Its Half-Hearted Attempt At An Apology To Samsung. - Page 11

Because that is what the court ordered.
Except in this case the court decided that the did not copy the iPad design. This is the whole point of the notice. It doesn't matter what you think, in the UK legally Samsung did not copy the iPad. Innocent until proven guilty and all that.
It didn't "blow up in his face" - Apple violated a court order and have been instructed to correct it. If they refuse then it will blow up in Apple's face.
It doesn't matter if you think it was wrong, bizzare or an African elephant; the court ordered something, Apple lost the appeal, now they have to do it or face the consequences.
Deal with that.

Um, the way I see it, Apple made the judge look like a fool. Especially by posting his "iPad is cool" comments and the like. No matter what Apple posts on their site now, mission accomplished in embarrassing the judge.

This is a judge in a court of law. Apparently people in the UK do things a little different.......

You are just calling me "pro apple" instead of addressing my points. Strong argument bro. thumb.gif

I just addressed your point and told you exactly where to find the information you were asking for.

And just so you are fully aware of the meaning of the word slander:
Quote:
slan·der/ˈslandər/
Noun:
The action or crime of making a false spoken statement damaging to a person's reputation.

The meaning of the judges ruling?
Quote:
The notice should outline the July 9 London court decision that Samsung’s Galaxy tablets don’t infringe Apple’s registered designs, Judge Colin Birss said yesterday. It should be posted on Apple’s U.K. home page for six months and published in newspapers and magazines to correct any impression the South Korea-based company was copying Apple’s product, Birss said.

Because:
Quote:
Comments made by Apple after that ruling unfairly implied Samsung had copied designs, Samsung’s lawyer Kathryn Pickard said at the hearing. That “caused real commercial harm.”
http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2012-07-18/apple-must-publish-notice-samsung-didn-t-copy-ipad-judge-says.html

So, Apple were ruled against, then went and publicly said that Samsung had copied their design, which flew in the face of the ruling and therefore the judge ordered them to correct the damaging impression.

And there's "calling" and "identifying". You make nothing but pro-apple posts. So, "identifying" it is.

Oh and I consider the above game, set and match. What you go "bro"?

You're quoting some Samsung lawyer.....

Show me the slanderous comments and I'll concede the slander. Also, why no counter-suit from Samsung? You do realize it's not slander to sue someone for patent infringement correct?

Good, I felt like this should happen after reading the so called "apology". It was just them saying that "although Samsung didn't infringe on Apple's copyrights, the judge did say... [10 paragraphs praising the iPad]"

That'll spur them on to stop it aright. Send a letter to Steve Cook. Or Tim Jobs. Whatever his name is. That guy.

I doubt there's any embarrassment being felt by the judge or any sympathetic party. The only thing Apple has succeeded in doing is showing their divisiveness, as if they haven't proven that 100s of times over before this.

That's not true. It proved they can copy and paste.
