Hi,

Kind of bored the other day and tried to upgrade the NVRAID module on my old 680i motherboard using CBROM utility to learn and play on a board I wouldn't care if I bricked it at all. Anyhow:

First question> Version CbRom183 leaves a File_buf.bin and 'original.tmp' file when extracting modules (the later original file being the desired extracted module). Whats up with file_buf.bin? CBROM196 doesn't leave bread crumbs like the older version...

Second question> The actual filename in the bios file is 'rom/nvraid.673'. I can't in windows using cbrom enter a forward slash into a filename to replace the nvraid file. Does it mater? Version cbrom196 crashes trying to extract 'rom/nvraid' as opposed to cbrom183 that leaves two files as in my first question.

Bonus Question> Replacing 'Rom/nvraid.673' with NVRaid.103 (version 10.0.0.34) results in the system crashing while loading windows. The new NVraid module identifies the raid array but windows fails. Further Windows Setup CD fails as well. Also my Silicon Image orom gives a 'Unable to Invoke' error message. I assume its because I'm out of option rom space?

Thanks!
