Server Mobo with desktop class CPU?

Thread Starter
I found i could get a hold of this here:
http://www.tyan.com/product_SKU_spec.aspx?ProductType=MB&pid=613&SKU=600000052
for only $50 And i am wondering if it will work with an Athlon x2 (it says only Athlon 64 on the site). or if it's even worth it. All my server will be doing is hosting files and streaming videos/movies/music over LAN

Only if it's a B class Athlon X2. Doesn't sound like it's worth the effort, regardless.

I highly doubt it would support an X2. The limitation would fall on the BIOS and of course hardware. I'd keep looking.
