Can I use 2 dual channel kits in quad channel mode on my p9x79 pro??

Im looking at buying some more memory and found a apir of Kingston Hyper X predator memory 2x4gb 2400hmz at £40 a pair could I run 2 pairs of these in my sig rig and would they work in quad channel mode????

So your filling all 4 ram slots which then yes would be Quad Channel.

the only other thing that concerns me is compatibility as the kits are certified for 6 and 7 series chipsets in dual channel mode but Im sure that wont include x79

Yes, but bere in mind 2400Mhz is very rare on a SB-E due to the IMC. You have to luck out with your CPU for it to be capable of those speeds.

Cheers guys I went for it and took the gamble they arrived this morning and I must say they are gorgeous and very high quality. Installed them and they are currently running at 2456mhz in quad channel with timings 11 13 11 30 1T with my cpu at 4.75ghz all cores perfectly stable 4 runs passed in memtest 2hrs Prime and I managed to get them running stable at 2596mhz 11 13 13 30 2T with 4 runs of memtest pass.

Absolute bargain at £40 a pair £80 for 16GB of Kingston goodness on Ebuyer
