Switching to Intel...

Thread Starter
My mobo went out and I have always used AMD but I am going to give Intel a try. I just want to know how much better is this CPU

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819115005

than my AMD 64 3000+

I am looking top keep this under 300USD for the CPU and mobo but I want to get an ASUS mobo that will hold up for atleast a year or two.

Thanks in advance! -AceMon

If you overclock that C2D, it could beat a FX-62. So yes it would be better then your current CPU.

It that an AGP card? If it is your choice of mobos it very limited.

Well honestly I'm just looking for a good allaround board. Crossfire=yes please and erm whats that S/PDIF Out used for if it dosen't have onboard video?

I am basicly looking for a mobo that I can expand apon. ex. going from 2GB of Ram to 4GB a year from now.

Thanks for the help and no offence to you for running AGP heheh. Before this card I ran an AGP Ge-Force FX 6600

Its ok I've been meaning to upgrade for a while now. I'll go look at newegg for a mobo.

I have always like ASUS try this mobo. I think it supports crossfire and it supports 4 2GB sticks of RAM. Nevermind I clicked on the wrong board.
