Overclocking Phenom II 965 Black Edition - Page 2

Hey what kind of CPU cooler do you have? Brand , model nr etc?
I have the same Board als you do, But with a different CPU , the Phenom 960T at 3,8Ghz (3.0ghz = stock speed)
I dont even get higher then 30*C temperature rolleyes.gif

And your CPU is stock at 3.4Ghz And u get near 60 degrees in temp for a 0.4Ghz overclock?
So i think you dont have such a great cooling.... maybe u can improve this first?

I would not want my chip to go near 50, even that i can the limit might be 60, But thats just me.

I like to keep things Cool thumb.gif

How can i improve it anymore without doing liquid cooling? 3 230mm fans, and 1 140mm fan + the cpu cooler, the only way i can improve it is keeping my room cold(which i try to do anyways). Not sure of he brand or model. I will take a pic of it when i get home from work, maybe you'll be able to identify it. It was given to me by my sisters boyfriend when he got a pc for doing a tattoo,so he wasnt sure what cpu cooler was on it. Its a side mounted fan,so its blowing towards the front of the case, and its got a red led,if that helps at all lol i'll update my post later on today
