whats the BEST software available to recover pictures that i deleted from my D drive? (the deletion happened 2-3 months ago)

Have you used the drive in the past 2-3 months. If so then there is little chance they can be recovered.

Personally I use a program called Recuva from Piriform but there may be better software out there (this is free by the way).

2-3 months? lol.
If you've written a bunch of data to your drive they are toast.

Recuva seems to be well-regarded.
