Best choice between these two mATX motherboards?

Hello,

I am currently deciding whether to buy the:

Gigabyte GA-Z77MX-D3H:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007R21JX6/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?ie=UTF8&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER

and

Asus ASUS P8Z77-M Pro:

http://www.amazon.com/ASUS-P8Z77-M-Intel-Micro-Motherboard/dp/B007RIFKS0/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1351797808&sr=1-1&keywords=asus+p8z77-m

The price between the two are close, and I'm getting that the Asus mobo has more/better features for the price. However from reviews in Newegg/Amazon I'm hearing a lot of bad things happening with the Asus mobo.

The Gigabyte on the other hand has better reviews overall though, but I think it has less features than the Asus one.

I'm mainly just buying a mobo just to use with my gaming build. I'm not interested in overclocking or anything, so which one would be the best for me to buy?

What case are you trying to fit this board into? Have you completely ruled out larger boards? I only ask because the Extreme4 is less than both of these and probably a better option. Might be worth measuring the space you have in your case.

It is an mATX case.

Using the Temjin TJ08-E

I would measure the space inside, the Extreme4 is two inches shorter than standard ATX, so you never know.

What's your maximum budget on a board? Can you spend $140?

I had had the exact same dilemma 2 months ago when I assembled my rig. What really cinched the deal for me was this review of the Gigabyte Z77MX-D3H. So thats what I ended up with and I have no complaints on my end (I overclocked my processor just a bit and do mostly light gaming [TF2/steam anything]).
