Time for new mousepad, any suggestions?

Thread Starter
Hello,

As a current owner of Artisan RED Hien mid L and Hayate black L, I am in search for a new mousepad.

I loved the Hien. Hayate was ok until it got dust/fibers stuck and couldn't be removed, maybe a tad too little control. Basically RED was the only reason I went for Hayate as my Zowie AM jittered because of the red color.

I am planning on getting BST mouse, but going to be using AM until then.

Which mousepad you recommend? I think HIEN MID L had just right amount of control/speed for me. Will the BST mouse work on red colored surface or will jitter like zowie AM? Should I just get Hien MID L as black color?

Any suggestions that match HIEN MID L? Possible something with 1:1 Vertical - Horizontal tracking. Hien glided better horizontally than vertically.

Thanks a lot!

It's too bad that PureTrak mouse pads are hideously ugly.

This is really subjective. I personally think that the talent look better than any branded steelseries mouse pad.

OP : How about you try a hard pad? I've always been a fan of cloth pad until I tried a 9HD. It was a really pleasing experience. I'm still using one today.

Just received my Corsair Widemat and it's awesome! I highly recommend these.

I've had a Steel Series mat and it frayed within weeks.

Yeah, I am curious about those Corsair pads. I suppose I will buy one and see how I like it.

I ordered one of the Corsair Wide pads tonight. Trying to decide now what mouse to pair it with as I'm looking to swap my G700 for something more comfortable.

I believe that Roccat advertises the Taito as having equal glide both ways.

My Taito wore out faster than any other pad that I have tried. The Qck is more durable..... An $8 Handstands pad is more durable. Stay away from the Taito IMO.

I wish Puretrak offered a solid black Talent. It wouldn't be hard, since they claim the all black stealth is the same pad but smaller.
