[TPU] LG Electronics Joins the HSA Foundation - Page 2

No matter how many times I read it, HSA still sounds like very, very polished marketing. Gonna need to see it in action, or at least evidence of it, before joining the bandwagon of hope.

Keep shares down for a while longer though, I'd like to buy some before the holiday season kicks off.

Orange. Take that.

edit: So this thing has weight after all. So much for stock woes.

Nice read moderator. From what you have, the best generalization I can come up with is that with HSA, PUs stop acting as individual units and start acting like two hands on the same body. Am this good for man with small computer words?

AMD created a prototype of Llano which had the CPU being used as nothing more than a front end and the IGP being used as the main processor.

On average, they claimed a 20% increase in performance despite the heavily decreased performance in many workloads. Factor in the CPU taking over for the workloads that don't particularly like having 400 5-dimensional cores with 80 of them being forced to work on the same thing at the same time and you've got something incredible.
