Sleeving a Seasonic 860W Platinum PSU Help

Thread Starter

I just picked up this fully modular Seasonic 860W Platinum power supply.

This will be the second power supply I've tried to do. The first was a Cooler Mastetr Silent 700 used in my Sig build Blue Dragon. That one took me three tries to get the 24pin cable looking good enough I could install it. Still not near Lutro0's quality.

Looking for any tips or tricks that could help me in this endevore.

My guide for sleeving so far would have to be Lutro0's Video Sleeving guide.

Learning from the best.

Those seasonic require nothing more than time and patience. Once you have that, its quite easy. I've sleeved alot of seasonic psu's so trust me/ thumb.gif

I'd read somewhere that SeaSonics can be particularly hard to sleeve. I'm picking one up today myself. Is that true, for any who have done this with SeaSonic PSU's?

I've never sleeved anything but Seasonic (2x1000w platinum) and I don't think they are hard. But I made up my own cable sets after I destroyed a connector trying to get the pins out of my first one. That could be because I was a newbie, IDK.
On the second one I had to / wanted to make all custom length cables anyway.
The main thing people seem to have problems with are the pins sometimes being hard to remove from the connectors, and the double wires. The double wires aren't bad at all if you follow the guides and use a little patience.
