How much did you spend on you gaming PC? Yes or No, Do you think its money well spent? - Page 10

2k+ on my PC. definitely worth it. I haven't touched my PC in well over 6 months, don't even miss it. in 3 years all i have to do is get a new Motherboard + GPU + CPU and I'm set. Best decision I ever made. biggrin.gif

Over $4000 - probably closer to 5K. Money well spent? I like how it looks, and I bought it for expendable income (at the time - sadly lost job) but its overkill for what I use it for.
5K,

well spend?
depends

Yes in the sense that everything maxed out and I love gaming on it

No in the sense that I spent way too much gaming

$1400. redface.gif

I spent right around $1750, but that includes my headset, keyboard, and 2560x1440 monitor.
Considering how much time I spend on it, it was definitely money well spent.

initially about $900. Over time I've gotten more misc. parts, Crucial M4 64GB, GTX660Ti, Logitech G710+, Logitech G700, Samson SR850s, ASUS Xonar DG, etc. Overall I think I've spent about $1500-1600 ish.

I regret nothing. thumb.gif

To build my rig outright it would cost around $1800-2000.

Money well spent? Yes

If you count from day one and upgrade I have well over 4-5k wrapped up in this thing.

Money well spent? Absolutely not lol.

Less than $2000 for everything in my sig rig. Of course that's stuff that has accumulated over time. The case, PSU, storage drve, keyboard were all hold overs from previous builds. The rest of the build was designed around getting the most out of a 1080p 40in tv which was pretty much half of the cost of the build. You'd be amazed how much better everything looks when it's big enough to really see it, and 1080p doesn't require a powerful system to max everything out.

my linuxbox = 3-4k Norwegian kroners
my secondary PC = ~15k Norwegian kroners
my main rig = 30-40k Norwegian kroners(counting upgrades)
not counting peripherals

for comparison:
my 89 VW scirocco GTX =25k Norwegian kroners
my 62 Ford Taunus 12M = 5k Norwegian kroners
My 86 VW Golf 2 CL = 3k Norwegian kroners

in other words my main rig cost more than my 3 cars combined, not counting restoration costs on the scirocco and the taunus(~80k) though. tongue.gif

well spent? well to me yes, its my hobbies after all... others may have difficulties understanding such spending though. Everyone have something that they spend money on, aquariums or stamps i.e, for me it is PC and cars.

1USD = ~6-7NOK
