The Cooler Master Hyper 412 Slim

Introduction

Hyper 412 Slim inherits the low noise design of Hyper 612 PWM with optimum heat dissipation at low fan speeds. It features the wider fin gaps, wide range PWM fan and Cooler Master’s innovative patented CDC™ technology to further improve the cooling performance while maintaining the quit idling. Bundled with 2 slim fans, Hyper 412 Slim is best suitable for Intel socket LGA 2011 platform due to its compact size.

Features

  • Adopts the innovative patented CDC™ (Continuous Direct Contact) technology - side-by-side heat pipe configurations with no gaps creating a perfectly smooth surface for heat conduction.
  • Optimized with wider fin gaps to reduce the air flow resistance which maximizes cooling performance at low fan speed condition.
  • Quick-snap fan bracket design for easier installation.
  • Wide range PWM fan (500 – 1,600 R.P.M.) provides versatile performance for full loading efficiency and for quiet idling.
  • Versatile all-in-one mounting solution supporting the latest Intel® LGA 2011 and AMD FM1
  • Intel Socket: LGA 2011 / 1366 / 1156 / 1155 / 775
  • AMD Socket: FM1 / AM3+ / AM3 / AM2+ / AM2

Finally, here's a review on the 412 Slim (not to be confused with the 412 S):

so that's what they're calling it.

Might have to pick it up for the new build.

Hi there, yep, that's the so called new 212 +/EVO...it really runs quietly...just a gentle breeze if you put your hand near it.

Here a photo of it within my rig...actually it is bulkier than the 212 EVO, but the built looks a lot like it. With the dual slimmer fans in push-pull config, it really runs quietly. I think the increase in fan blades and its design helps a lot in reducing noise.

One of the fans happily twirling away..smile.gif

Just FYI clubs cannot be official unless the section editor specifically approves it as such. Since we still don't have an editor for this section, approval falls on either myself or Tator Tot. This will have to get long legs before it's approved, but that's just a matter of time. wink.gif

It'll have to be removed until such approval is given. The thread can go on normally otherwise. smile.gif

I got this cooler but I have a question. Is it normal to be a bit loose? I mean I tightened up the screws as much as I can and I am pretty sure that "thing" is stuck up the ass of the metal X crossed thing which goes above the area covering the processor but still I can move the whole cooler around. Is that normal or I screwed up something? I can't pass 35-40c on load with stock voltages and stock everything. I don't know if this temp is the normal temp for this cooler + 8350 combo.
