Complete newbie here.

I'm trying build my first PC with no real experience, and I'm having trouble getting the RAM to "lock" into the motherboard when I push down. I've pushed as hard as I feel is safe, and no luck.

I'm using the following motherboard and RAM:

Yes, I've put the RAM in the right way, meaning that the slot and RAM gap are matching up. The packaging for the RAM even said that it is "Compatible with Z77".

Any advice is appreciated, sorry if this thread is a bit newbie, considering some of the discussions here.

Guess everyone has this problem when they first start, as you don't know the limits of your hardware, and don't want to break it.
