In your opinion is CS:GO worth buying? What makes it worth/not worth buying, list valid points on why or why not.

So I tried out the game a little, and normally when I play FPS I'm pretty decent. In this game, it takes a little getting used to, the first time I played it, I was doing horrible. (Worse than when I normally first play an FPS game) After a couple of rounds I started getting used to it but overall it is a very fun game. For me, it was hard keeping a 1.0 KDR, so if you are willing to spend the time getting used to the game, go for it, but for me it was a little frustrating because of how much I kept dieng lol.

I still find CSS better, but I do like the new graphics.

Thats what I heard too from some people. The thing is I have not played any of the previous Counter Strikes so I am just comparing CS:GO to other FPS games.

In GO, it is not as easy to get random headshots like in Source.

I downloaded the free weekend and I can say, compared to CS:S the graphics are nice but as mentioned above, that's about it. The amount of mods for CSS make it such versatile game as far as play style goes (zombies, map mods, game modes, ect..). CS:GO may have these, but I haven't found them yet, admittedly I haven't looked for them either.

The only major con I saw was the in game video advertisements at the beginning of each round, which can be closed after the game is loaded.

But for $9.99? Come on it's worth that... A sack of burgers costs that now days. Will probably purchase it after free weekend is over. thumb.gif
