cracked monitor

Thread Starter
Yeah like the title says. What can I do with it? Where can I send it that will get some use? Can I do something to it to make it useful? Monitor is an Acer G235H.

You can part it out on ebay. The power supplies in LCD/LED monitors and high voltage inverters in LCD monitors break all the time, and often times people will often times pay good money for used parts.

Post pictures of how it is cracked. Maybe it's fixable.

How much could I get for the parts? Would it be worth the cost of shipping?

You can sell the inverter for $5-$15 and make them pay for shipping.

You can sell the power supply for $10-$25 and make them pay for shipping.

You can sell the bulbs for about $5-$20 and make them pay for shipping.

Or maybe you can sell the whole thing cheaply to someone with a broken monitor who wants it for parts.

Is it worth it? After setting up a ebay account, and going through the hassle of getting someone to buy the parts you might get $20 to $60-ish total from parting out the monitor. You decide if the effort is worth your time.

In the mail and inside a box preferably. Courier pigeon isn't too reliable these days.

You could try an eagle I heard somewhere that they are more reliable. Or maybe an owl but and eagle would be better. A pelican is even better though. Maybe an albatross??? Your choice really.

What I was getting at is that I would have to buy a box, which to me sounds like a waste of money. But if I sell it I guess that's gonna be what I have to do....
