Hi JGPliskin, welcome to OCN

For the basics, your CPU speed is calculated according to the front side bus speed (FSB) and a multiplicator.
With a pentium4 CPU, the multiplicator is locked. So your only way to increase its speed is to play with the FSB and it all depends on your motherboard having the options to do it.

I guess at stock your FSB is 800MHz, you should find that in your BIOS.
First see if it is possible to increase it or not.

If that's the case, then the game can begin!
Increase the FSB by 10 or 20MHz and try to boot your OS.
If it boots, back to the BIOS to increase it to the next step.
And so on until your OS won't boot anymore and you have hit a first wall.

Go back to the last FSB that has booted and run a few stress tests, like prime95 or OCCT, to see if your system is stable or not.

Then you can gain a few MHz by adding some volts to your CPU voltage. Again check if your motherboard offers this option.
Too many volts can kill your CPU!

Thats only a quick resumé of overclocking, you should find lots of detailed how to with Google.
Keep in mind that overcloking your CPU will make it get hotter, so you will need a proper cooler and a well cooled case.
I won't touch the voltage or even set the FSB too high with only the intel stock cooler.

Have fun!

Old school FSB overclock as described above. You'll need to set your RAM multiple correctly and make sure you have RAM that is capable of proper clocks, since RAM will OC with the FSB. Then it's a matter of adding VCore to stabilize CPU, adding NB voltage to stabilize the overclocked NB, and cooling the ridiculously hot Prescott P4.

When you're done, you'll have a nice overclocked P4 that's hot as hell, and slower than an Athlon 64!! thumb.gif
