I don't see what people see in those OCZ sticks, they don't even use D9's =/

Same for the Buffalo with CAS5, they don't use D9s: http://ramlist.ath.cx/ddr2/

Promos or Elpida.

Now these are the Buffalo I'd like to see for sale at egg: http://www.virtual-hideout.net/revie...00/index.shtml

Well first off whats a D9? And from the reviews this looks like top notch RAM but I never heard much about it. Seems everyone is getting Crucial or OCZ. Why?

I would definitely go with the firestix...
I recommend the Gigabyte DS3 OR Asus P5B-E instead, but thats my preference.
Giagbyte - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813128012
Asus-http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813131070

PS - I hate to be a douch, but technically it's an allendale, not conroe.
edit - fixed link.

It's the chips of the memory, thay are the same ones used by GSkill that can get over 1000fsb. They are manufactured by Micron, I believe. Crucial Tenth Anniversery that everyones getting also use the same chips. I've never cared for OCZ, although they seem a lot better lately. I honestly don't know about them, never used them. The buffalo firestix, or Crucial if you can fine them, are both good, strong choices. Since you don't plan on overclocking too much I would get the firestixs, (DDR2 800 vs. Crucial DDR2 667).

I don't see it mentioning that the Firestix having Promos or Elpida o_O

5-5-5 at 2.1v points to D9 anyway

FSX800D2B-K2G

FSX800D2C-K2G

It matches what I've been hearing, that B have D9GKX and the C have D9GMH
