I totally hate Windows 8

And yeah, I did buy it. So I obviously wanted to like it!
And that Metro! It's not really convenient to have to go top right and top left corner of the screen, when your screen is just under 6' long redface.gif

First, I did an upgrade install last night! But that ran a bit lumpy!
So, today I did a clean install! But that metro is not for me, on a multi monitor PC redface.gif

That's exactly my point, people sit here and complain about an OS because they're attempting to do things the long way and act like that's the only way; while in fact there are a half a dozen other ways to do what they're attempting all/most of which are faster & easier. Sorry that I was rude in my previous posts, but it gets real tiring hearing people complain about a product simply because they believe for whatever reason it HAS TO BE one way, while there are better ways, that they haven't bothered to learn.

Windows 8 would have been much better if they did not include Metro for those that dont need it. I feel like its being forced. I hope hackes out there remove it completely.

Think of it this way. Windows since 95 has been the same. Ur brains are used to it. We use our PCs every day. Its like taking a car and changing the way you drive it completely. Make it at least optional to use the older method.

Not trying to troll here, just trying to be helpful. Please don't accuse me (I hate starting off posts like this). I run two monitors and when I go to the top left corner of either screen it brings up a small list of programs that were previously on that particular screen. Also, if I go to the bottom right of either of those screens it will bring up the charms menu. Go a little too far and you end up in the next screen, which I could see getting annoyed at, but it works pretty well for some of us. When you say you have 6' worth of real estate, it's obviously multi screen but I'm wondering if you set your screens up differently. Having to go from the far right screen all the way to the far left screen's corner would be annoying as hell I'm sure.
I'll agree with one thing, this OS is not for everyone so I'm not frowning upon anyone who hates it. But since you have it already I'm just trying to throw things out there that maybe you missed.
I also got that screen that said installation failed, reverting to previous OS when I tried to upgrade my Vista machine directly from the desktop. I ended up doing a custom install via optical disk right over the top of the Vista install. Worked fine on that try.

Sounds like you need some shortcuts? I almost never use the corners or edges of the screens, it's much easier just to hit the windows key and corresponding key for a shortcut.
