Okay so the title says it all I have a bfg rev b for those that dont know rev b is the horrible one as it blows air back into the case instead of out. Well the card hit 94 last night after 1 hour of playing wow i got the card as a temp till i get my 670. It is not going to work like this as the heat was so much the game was artifacting from the heat so I looked up at my meter and it said 94 c thats too hot. Any ideas oof how i can make it run cooler im going to try replacing the paste today also the card was under full load playing wow. Oh and idle the card runs at 60 c thats just surfing the web ect.

Any ideas how to cool this better without too much of a mod as i want to sell it later

Remove your case’s side panels and if need be, keep a desk fan blowing on the card until you get your new card.

You can also use MSI Afterburner and set a fan profile to rev up the fans as the card gets hot.

Wish i had a picture of my ghetto cable tied fan on my old inno3d dht gtx 9800+. The stock fan had died and the setup is still going, it was my little brothers and now is my littler sisters pc.

Tied the fan so it was "floating" between the card and the bottom of the case, never overheated. As long as you have a case fan to draw the hot air out then you should be right.

You could also use afterburner to drop the clocks down.

I don't have a desk fan and even if i did this wont help i have a switch 810 with every fan slot full the rev b of the card blows into the case not out the vent though which dont help nothing. I have 4 intake cougar case fans and 4 exhaust cougar case fans my airflow is better than your suggestion with the panel on lol
