Gaming PC Plans (would like some tips or advices)

Thread Starter
I am planning on making a gaming PC inside a NZXT Gamma.
I am thinking about mounting a H100 on top of the case and making the fans pull air through the outside rad, inside the case.
I am going with a black & blue theme.

Tell me what you think of my choice of parts and any tips about the build is always welcome.

Mobo: Asrock 970 extreme3 or MSI 970A-G46
CPU: AMD FX 8150
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 16GB DDR3 1600MHz (4x4)
Graphics: HIS 7870 IceQ X Turbo 2GB GDDR5 Or MSI R7870 Hawk 2GB GDDR5
PSU: Recom Power Engine 750 Plus 750W
HDD: Western Digital Blue 500GB 7200RPM 16MB Cache
ODD: Asus DRW-24B5ST
Case: NZXT Gamma
Cooling: H100 with Antec Tricool 120MM fans blue
(Would like to know if the window kit from the NZXT M59 would fit on the Gamma and where to buy it seperately)

AMD FX 8350 would be better.
And you do not need 750 watts. A SeaSonic 650Watt PSU would do you just fine over that unknown brand.

Also, what is your budget? What games do you play? And what resolution do you play at and/or will play at?

Well about the PSU. I already got it and it has good reviews and i got a discount because i knew the guy from the store.
My budget is about €800,- but since i already got the PSU that would be €750,-

And right now I'm at 1400x900 but after the build is done i will go for a 24" 1920x1080

If it is still in your budget go FX 8350 or 8320. They will offer a decent improvement over the 8150.

Other than that, everything else looks solid.

It seems that it won't ship the FX to my country. I'll check if I can find it anywhere cheap in my area. But thanks for the help Paratrooper.

But by any chance, do you know if the side panel from the NZXT M59 would fit on the GAMMA? and if it is possible to order that panel seperately?

Not possible to ship the panel separately. And do not know if it will fit. Always assume it won't though. Even if it a mm off, it won't fit properly.

I would not get a msi motherboard. I have heard asrock is good but also gigabyte and asus are other motherboard manufacturer's you might want to look at before making a solid mob selection. The fx 8320 would be better then the fx 8350 just on the fact that the 8350 is a overclocked 8320. Which pushing your 8320 to stock 8350 speeds wouldn't hurt the chip much at all. 16 gigs of ram is over kill specially if the pc will only be used to play games on and other miner tasks. So you could take the money saved from the ram and spend it on the cpu or save it for a future upgrade.
