Chivalry causes my PC to restart.

Hey guys, I have sort of a weird problem. Whenever I play chivalry my PC restarts itself after a few minutes. At first I thought it was possibly CPU/GPU heat issue seeing as it just restarted out of the blue... But I ran it again and both my temps were fine. CPU was around 44 and gpu around 48. And it still restarted my PC.

Then I just gave up on chivalry and played maybe 2 hrs of planetside 2. No problems everything ran fine. Booted up chivalry again... Same problem. Then I went out for 3-4 hrs so I ran prime 95... When I got home there was no errors. So I started testing other games just to see if it was just that game. I played just cause 2, borderlands 2 and guild wars 2 for 30-45 mims each. Boot up chivalry and it restarted my PC again. So now I e uninstalled it and am Downloading it while I'm at work.

Ive pretty much come to the conclusion that it's only with chivalry, everything else seems to be fine. Does anyone have any idea why this was happening? And if it still happens with the new install, does anyone have an idea how I could fix it.


Also, sorry for the wall of text and if this is the wrong place to post this.

Thanks, I hope so. I've never heard of a game causing a full reboot unless it was overheating or somthing. If it was a CTD or somthing I would understand.

that was one of the things i thought at first...... but its only with this one game. after 3-4hrs stress test, and another 3-4 hours of other games played with no problems it seems to just be when i play chivalry. I've never heard of a PSU choosing only a certain game the crap out on

i got the kernel-power 41 error. i did a fresh install of chivalry, still the same problem. since then ive played and hour each of GTA4, Planetside 2, borderlands 2 and killing floor. no problems what so ever. boot up chivalry, and boom restarts again. im gonna try a fresh install of windows or somthing. its really buggin me now ahah. I dont think its a hardware problem seeing as its only caused by that one game.. and its nowhere near as demanding on cpu/gpu as some of the other games i played.

ahaha you and me both dude.... you and me both. im thinkings its some driver compatability issue somewhere or somthing. I've spent more time playing other games trying to make my PC auto reset then i have playing chivalry

Im probably going to do a fresh install of windows this week, see if that does anything. if not, i guess il just cut my loss and give up on the game

well, i did a reinstall of windows. still does it. played about 2 hrs of natural selection 2, and an hour of TF2 without a problem....ah well.
