evga gtx 670 superclocked change a amd 7970? game on a monitor resolution 1920 x 1080. change is good? thanks.

If you aren't getting frame rates you find acceptable, they yes change it. 7970GHz is the fastest single gpu out there. If you feel your card is ok, just stick with it until the next series from each company comes out.

Single monitor - 1080p - GTX 670 because of 256 bit interface.

Multi Monitor - Anything above 1080p - 7970 because of 384 bit interface.

Yup.

670 is still faster or as fast at 1080p/1200p compared to a 7970.

The old 7970, after the most recent drivers, is not only faster than the 670, but the 680 as well. The 7970GHz is on a completely different level.

Hmm at 1080p and 1600p the 670/7950 are neck and neck and the 680 nips at the 7970.
What different level do you speak of?

For the last 8 months a 670 beat a 7970 at 1080p.
But yes, the Radeons got a great recent set of drivers and are a solid buy, no doubt.

Not worth it. Unless you sell this GTX 670 at a profit..
I would wait for GTX 780 or GTX 770. newer generations are not that far away.

This is true for everything. Theres always going to be a newer generation. I have a 670 and couldnt be happier with it
post #10 of 12
Keep the 670. You aren't going to notice any gains with a 7970 at 1080p.
