Hey guys,I recently upgraded my system and got a brand new Sabertooth z77,i5 3570k and more things.
I kept the previous ram I had which is 4gb of mushkin radioactive 1600 1.65v 7-9-7-24 and 4gb of mushkin radioactive 1600 1.65v 6-9-7-24.
I had the first kit and then I got more and I thought that the timings would be the same but they weren't.But with my previous amd mobo they both ran at 7-9-7-24 without any problems at all.
The problem I have now is that the mobo isn't detecting the ram sticks properly, the 7-9-7 sticks are detected properly and I can set them to run @ 1600 7-9-7 but the 2 sticks with 6-9-7-24 are not, they don't even have xmp in their spd info in the motherboard and in cpu-z either.
I can only run them @ 1333 9-9-9 1.5v but they are 1.65 1600mhz 6-9-7-24.
I've tried setting the timings to 1600mhz and voltage manually but after that the motherboard will not post at all and I get the overclocking failed message after resetting.
I've updated the motherboard to the latest bios.
What can I do? I have to run my memory at a much slower speed and it seems that the motherboard doesn't support it at all.
Thanks a lot.
