Ok, I order the GIGABYTE GA-990FXA-UD3 (4 pci-e slots). It's been a long day of searching, time for a beer and then decide on a cpu 6 or 8 cores. The 6300 @ 95w is temping but I think I should just go with 8 cores.

I'm back and I got the board, memory, psu and the case. Now I am ready to order the cpu and I really cant wait anymore biggrin.gif I've been reading and narrowed it down to the FX-8120 or the 1090T. When comparing the two i found this chart and at the bottom is a section called "Multiprocessing".

What is "Multiprocessing" and why doesn't the FX-8120 have it.
From what i have read the Phenom's are preferred over the FX by some because of the way the 2 modules work???
Most of the threads i have read were by gamers and review blogs about how they had 5-10 fps deference. Not really useful to my situation.
What would you guys recommend for a heavy use pc.

BTW the gigabyte looks looks like a beast biggrin.gif it's a shame nobody is ever going to see it.

well i do believe that the phenom chips are better at single threaded apps than FX series,,,you found a 1090t somewhere,,i have one,,,gave to my 12 year old daughter,,,shes happy with it
