Best LCD Monitor for PS3?

I am planning to buy a LCD monitor 24"-27" inch with speakers to use for my PS3. Currently my PS3 is connected to my Sharp 46" Qautron LED and notice too many lags and fps drops (connected through HDMI). Also the quality of my 720p games look like crap. I am hoping that I would get a better quality out of the PS3 by changing to a LCD monitor 1080p.

I need some advise of the best type of LCD that would work with a PS3.

game stop has the 3d ps3 display for 179.99..its pretty bad azz and very nice picture..also its 3d ..check it out.i bought one when they were 199..its only good for the ps3..not the greatest pc monitor.

I'm not sure if this would help but I'll give it a run:

We have a 47" LG LK520 true 1080p (1920x1080) . It's an IPS panel and iPS3 games look gorgeos! The only problem is the 80-100ms input lag (you could feel the controls respond slower by less than a second)

Colors look great, contrast is amazing and it's harder to notice the jaggies.

I sometimes use the my 23" Samsung 2333HD monitor. It's a TN panel and the games look "meh" on it.

Colors aren't as great and the black levels are worse. It's also easier to notice texture blemishes and jaggies for some reason (PS3 HD games aren't really 1080p so a display with better scaling [probably our LG 47" than my 23" monitor] fares a little better).

The redeeming value of my 23" monitor is the input lag. The controls are much more responsive (20-60ms input lag compared to the 90-100+ on our LG 47" set.

I think your visual acuity also matters and if you have another set in your room.

I can easily shrug off the visual quality of my 23" monitor as long as I don't see our LG 47" isn't sitting right beside it. (I did such set up a few months back).

That being said, I suggesting getting a display on a brick store with good return or exchange policy.

Nothing beats 1st hand experience.

I suggest you get 22"-26"HDTV has PC port (DVI or RGB), Any Console's games running HDTV's graphic is very amazing and beautiful crisp than LCD Monitor. IMO..
