H100 back plate doesn't sit properly?

Hey guys,

I'm trying to install the Corsair H100 on my very first PC build, and I'm not sure if the back plate for the H100 is suppose sit smoothly on the back or not. When I attempt to place it on, the metal thing on the motherboard (that is holding the CPU) is sticking out a bit on the back, and not allowing the back plate for the H100 to sit smoothly, I'd have to force the thing down to touch all four corners. Is that normal?

Here's a picture of the back (including the four holes and the metal thing).

As you can see it sticks out a bit and I'm not sure what to do.

Also, here's a picture of the back plate that I'm suppose to fit into the four holes if anyone isn't familiar with the H100.

The motherboard that I have installed is the ASUS Sabertooth Z77.

I don't think it matters because when you screw the pump/cpu block into the backplate, it will pull it towards the motherboard creating a tight fit.
Watch this if you're not sure:

Yeah I remember when I first installed mine I was thinking the same thing. However as mentioned above when you tighten down the block from the front, everything becomes nice and snug.

The issue was the way that I was positioning the back plate, on the top (of the back plate) there's a gap for the two "screws" that were causing an issue with spacing.

So you got it sorted then?
