At first not many big drops will be seen, but they will gradually go down. There is also a core duo coming out that will be much less powerful, and much cheaper!

Intel's top of the line CPU almost never go down in price. I mean if they do, maybe $50 or $100 down.

Just like nVidia's top of the line cards, they almost never go down in price dramatically despite their newer tech being out.

It's always the low end or mid range products that have the most price cuts.

No, as nasgul said intel never drops the price of the extreme edition cpus. You may be lucky enough to find them cheaper but there are no official price drops.

The main reason being that the thing your paying for with the X6800 is the unlocked multiplier and the release of the QX6700 does nothing to change that.

I dont think so..

Because quad core seems more suited towards....businesses to me. So for the enthusiast, its all extreme.
