Should I drop back to 1 GPU for 1920X1080 - Page 4

Well from the data I've seen the new Radeon 8870 is about as fast as the 7950 and it's more or less equal to a GTX 670 so just imagine how powerful the 8970 will be! tongue.gif

In SLI, my top card can hit 80c, compared to 62c when the bottom card's off smile.gif
No, leave your cards in sli. I completely disagree with everything you said.

OP for a 1080p resolution a single GTX 670 is enough. sell one of the GTX 670s. in future when you want more performance sell the other GTX 670 and go for a next gen card like the GTX 780. This GK110 chip based card is shaping up to be a beast.

Im still thinking about it but I do love how fast the cards are together in SLI such as sleeping dogs and maxpayne 3 vs a single card. I know you keep talking about this GK110 chip and your saying its shaping up to be a beast? do you know something about it that we do not know? and do you think it will be as fast as two 670's in sli?

Keep it - buzz is we might be saying 'yah but can it play Crysis 3?. tongue.gif I'm going out on a limb but betting BF4 maxed out will be more fun in SLI/Crossfire. biggrin.gif

Yeah it's over kill for a 60 Hz monitor but it's sweet FPS on a 120Hz or 2560x1440p. Just leave the door open without limiting yourself since you already own them. As long as your paying your bills and have food on the table.....don't separate the wonder twins. smile.gif
