I've noticed that typically I have no problem booting up at a clock speed / voltage that's unreasonable for 24/7 use successfully... then after I go back into the BIOS and revert to my 24/7 settings, I can't POST anymore and need to clear my CMOS. Despite going from a ridiculous clock to a reasonable clock. You'd expect that result going the other way around.

Does this happen to anyone else? Is there any logical explanation for why exactly this happens?

Are these assumptions correct:
After the BIOS reset, do you again re- enter your 24/7 settings.
By no "POST" you mean you never get to the operating system loading.

If the above are true, I'd look for a BIOS setting you're missing in your first resetting of the 24/7 settings. The BIOS reset in making that change for you.

By no POST I mean it doesn't POST. Either the fans spin up and nothing happens until I shut it down or it shuts itself off.

This has happened loading from a profile I have saved so I doubt that's what's going on.

When you do a bios reset all settings revert to defaults. Is this when you load your saved profile?

No. I load my saved profile after a simple reboot. Then I can't POST and need to clear my CMOS. After that I can try loading the saved profile again and it'll work fine.
