For those that want to make things easier get a blade that is a little more than two times thinner that the gap between the IHS and PCB, picture of blade below. You can find these blades at any drug store or pharmacy. The nice thing about these blades if they are not super stiff like the single sided blades, they flex to some degree so it will slice through that glue like butter!

I am looking for those but my wife could not get any ...

It's a very common item here in the States, it's actually for an older type of shaver that's been around for decades.

I am old enough to know that too ;p

But it seems they are not very common around here any more. I recall seeing them years back.

That's what everyone seems to be using - you should be okay with that thickness it just takes some patience

I was able to successfully delid my 3570k.
I'm hoping that first time 'round I'll be fine. As you can see my blade in the default picture (I guess that's what it's called?).
It worked on some OEM built Pentium 4's and a Celeron 326 and It was a success on that. (Can't check temps because I don't have a copy of XP)

if you really need/want them for delid, i could sent you some from over here,
i think i can get them smile.gif

practice on some old pentiums is a real good thing to do, i you can..
just to get the feeling how to cut, and...how not too ..lol
