Here is a pic:

youre so lucky CyGnus..
im trying to find something about the connections on the pcb because of your pic, its hard tho, and a layout, how they are used etc..

if i remember right from my amd 1100T, not all pins are used, i once bent alot of those pins when i put it back in my comp...nightmare really!
i bent all the pins like this here shows,

you should have seen my face, almost cried, didnt have it that long then...man..

so i phoned a watchmaker, thinking, hes working with very little parts etc,
he said, "i dont even want to try that sorry"...
only option i had was doing it myself, took a tweezer,
and started bending them all back, 1 for 1...took me about 3 hours to fix it ..lol
put it back in the comp..and it worked! biggrin.gif

anyways, thats why i know not all pins are used, ive searched online for answers how do go about it, sometimes you can just drop a broken pin in the socket, put back the cpu and it works..

often when peeps nick their pcb, only a memory controller isnt working,
and in your case, it still works, guess that part of the pcb isnt very important then,
because if i look at the pic, the scratch is really deep too,
maybe its worse then it looks tho on the pic idk smile.gif

No before pics of the actual CPU, the first time I used the CPU was with dry ice and I could only get it to do 5.6 somthing ghz I will take a picture of the CPU later and stick it up as I've not got any tim yet and I can't test to see if the temps will be better or not because either way it will be at -60c and I can't test until I get more dry ice smile.gif
I should game.

a, i see, normally we use liquid pro/ultra on the die, gives best results with air/water
but if you run dry ice, i wouldnt advice it, i think, not sure, it was
ftw420 had problems with it running sub zero.. keep us posted tho,
very curious how it works smile.gif
