did it on the first try. tbh twas a lot easier than I thought it was. the guys at the delidded ivy bridge club just doesn't want to make you overconfident in delidding the thing. but in all honesty it was really easy. twas a 5-10 minute job for me..

the funny thing tho I wore latex gloves and rubber boots just to be sure im 100% static free lmao

If you weren't single before, better make sure the wife isn't packing biggrin.gif

Guess you just have to be confident (so the hands aren't all nervous & shaky). Mine only took a few minutes as well, I have a few 3770ks so didn't really care about that particular one, wasn't nervous & the operation went smooth.

im actually a nurse and we have a lot of those latex gloves hanging around tongue.gif I can't explain the rubber boots tho lol

I was quite nervous when I was delidding. I've done a lot of reading and I remember reading you need to apply quiet a bit of force esp with the blade. to my surprise mine was very loose and the blade went right in without much resistance. delidded it like how I saw on a youtube video and was done with one sitting. less than an hour after I started delidding I was already done with getting my new max overclocks lol
