3/8x1/2 tubing too small?

Thread Starter
Looking to cool a Lightning 7970 and a 3570k. Have not done my overclocks for them yet, so not sure what they will be running at.

The reason I am looking at this size is I found a set of 18 Monsoon fittings, NIB, for $65, which would save me a bunch of money. But, I need to know, will the tubing restrict my loop too much?

Tubing size is largely a matter of personal preference now. Your points of greatest restriction will be your blocks anyway. At most you will see an ~2C difference in going from 3/8"ID up to 3/4"ID or some such.

3/8" tubing is perfectly fine, it performs almost as good as 1/2" and is a lot easier to work with.
