It is not news that the AMD cards do better at higher resolutions. It is also not news that the FPS numbers scale better for CF than SLI. I would even say that it is not news that Nvidia needs to drop their prices.
But AMD has its own issues, too. Worse micro stuttering for multi GPU is the big thing to me. Nvidia gets away with a lower FPS number because of more consistent frame times. CF game support has been lagging behind sometimes, though that has taken a turn for the better and most likely will keep going that way since the Gaming Evolved program is getting stronger. Then there is that incompatibility issue with certain X79 platforms using CF and Eyefinity.
Sorry to piss on this parade, but FPS numbers isn't all there is to it. Though Nvidia really needs to get better at that, too, especially for the price. Maybe we will finally see GK104 at the price point it technically belongs to.
