They really are great SSD's. Just did a review. Also, you might be able to grab one for cheap because Black Friday is coming up real soon.

One petabyte is 1024 TB which is 1048576 GB; I'm not sure if a typical user (even a gamer) actually writes 1 PB, or anywhere close to that.

How is everyone getting sub 20 second boot times? Do you have everything disabled in startup services? I've done a new install of W7 on a new samsung 830 128GB and the fastest I get is 30 seconds from reboot to desktop. About 15 seconds POST and 15 seconds from windows logo to desk. Used to be 28 and my cold boot used to be 25, but it's increased slightly since installing all windows updates and various programs. I'm sata II and on a 3 year old AMD/Gigabyte rig, but would sata III and a newer build really knock off 10+ seconds? My shutdown is 8 seconds so not too bad,

Have you enabled AHCI, ACPI 2.0, and using the native AMD SATA port?

AHCI enabled before installing my OS, yeah. I know nothing about ACPI 2.0 though. I'm using port 0 for the SSD.

Well, you may be able to cut down the time it sits there posting. Sometimes it is waiting there in case you want to go into the bios. You can probably change that amount of time in the bios. Just a Thought, and yeah, Sata III would speed up your boot times a ton too.

By the way, my fastest is 5 seconds on my good old Sata II Macbook. Using a 120 GB Sandisk SSD. Even with the Apple Start up screen.
