Hi Guys,
I'd like to part out my sig rig pretty soon, Ivy Bridge has been calling my name and prices are so low right now I'd feel stupid not letting go of my old equipment, despite how awesome it is (was). Without further ado, I present for your gracious appraisal:
- i7 920 d0 stepping:
This is my favorite chip ever. I hand picked it from Micro Center based on batch number, I remember the employees getting soooo frustrated over bringing out so many chips that day, lol. I have had it overclocked to 4ghz @ a cool and steady 1.2v (had it at 1.18 for years, until I noticed there was no temp increase at 1.2v, so I bumped it up a bit just in case) running on air with HT on 24/7 with never a single BSOD. It will be very hard for me to let go of this gem, as I'm sure I can squeeze ridiculous clocks out of it if I were so inclined, but I've got to move on at some point...
Everything original is included, box is in pristine condition as is the original heatsink. There are still 2 years left on the warranty and everything needed to RMA is here if you needed to for whatever reason in the future.
-Asus Rampage II Extreme
I'm sure this board needs no introduction. As you can see above, this board made overclocking easy with the right chip. Includes original box and some accessories, including a tiny Q-fan and illuminated I/O panel.
-Prolimatech Megahalems
Once again, I'm sure this bad boy needs no intro. One of the best heatsinks on the market. Includes all original accessories and original box, in like new condition.
-6gb OCZ Platinum triple-channel RAM
This RAM is badass. It is stock clocked @ 1600mhz with a CAS latency of 7-7-7-24. It is the only RAM I have personally seen with these specs out of the box, especially in triple channel. Despite RAM being stupid cheap nowadays, I am hoping the unique qualities and speed of this RAM will make it a bit more valuable than most. Go ahead, search around newegg for something similar, I'll wait
.
-BFG GTX 285 OC+
This card has served me very well for several years, but with all these fantastic cards on the market I am going to have to finally let it go. Runs like a champ.
-EVGA 8800GT single-slot 512mb
I used this card for folding, it has never given me so much as a hiccup. I can't afford to fold much anymore with these ridiculous electric rates in LA, so I am going to pass this along to someone that can make better use of it.
-ATI X1950 Pro
Used this in a few low-power rigs over the years and every time I remember being impressed with the speed. This is an ATI OEM card, I have no idea what it is worth or whether I should even be getting rid of it, it is pretty snazzy.
-2x Sapphire HD 5830 Xtreme 1gb
Ran these in crossfire in my sig rig, with the right drivers were nearly twice as fast as my GTX285. I was very impressed. Never bothered to overclock, so cannot provide any input there.
-6' VGA and DVI cables
I have lots of these, need to get rid of some. Price each + shipping please.
-Lots of RAM
Thanks for everyone's help, I am looking forward to being involved in the community once more!
