HDMI to VGA or HDMI to DVI

Thread Starter
Could I use an hdmi to VGA (the blue input) to connect as ps3 to my monitor so that I wont have to keep pulling the DVI cable from my pc to monitor out?

I'm not sure if that would work but if they make adapters, then I assume it must. However, I would try and keep it so that the signal remains digital with no conversion. So, HDMI>DVI would be the more ideal option.

Hdmi to VGA DOES NOT WORK EVER!!!! Hdmi to DVI then DVI to VGA will not work. here is why.

HDMI (Digital Only) -> DVI (Digital and Analogue) -> VGA (Analogue Only)

The signal gets to DVI then "stops". thumb.gif

EDIT: There is no such thing as HDMI to VGA, well, there is but it its for Digital VGA on a select few monitors which yours probably isn't if its under $600.
