Pretty sick.

Hate LG's software. So terrible, and they have a history of not updating their flagship phones after they are released.

That's why everyone will get the Nexus 4. Google's software and LG's hardware = winning.

Very much what I was thinking as well. The specs on the phone are really nice, though I was hoping for more out of the camera. I know it is a phone first, but I use it to take pictures of my kids daily. So that matters to me more than it would to most.

If they were reliable in their software support, I would likely exclusively look at this phone.
Since they aren't....I am considering the 920, Nexus 4, and this one....

Other option is to root....
My one experience with rooting is my current Atrix4G. I have to say, as much as I love the improved battery life, the fact that it is on ICS atm, I have to say I don't like the fact that it isn't perfectly stable. There are some issues with it. The camera and the camcorder specifically. Now, I don't know enough about this stuff to say specifically how it is, I only know what I am reading from the vast amounts of information on XDA.

From what I am told, unless there is a leak with the kernals for the specific phone, the only way to get a full stable rom for a device is to manually code it based off another device that is using the same hardware. On top of that I have read that LG likes to lock the boot loaders as well. Yes, they can be broken, and with a phone like the Optimus G out and its specs, there will likely be people all over it.

I just hate to HAVE to rely on that in order to use the phone in a way I feel I should be able to.
Like I said, I am very nooby to this stuff, so if I am wrong, PLEASE correct me as I am trying to learn more about it.

Thanks,
