Difference between vengeance LP CML4GX3M1X1600C7 and CML4GX3M1A1600C9

There are two models listed on the corsair website for Vengeance Low Profile memory 4GB x 1.

One is the CML4GX3M1X1600C7 for $49.99 and the other is CML4GX3M1A1600C9 for $24.99.

Both are vengeance low profile 4GB x 1. The corsair website doesn't have any extra information that differentiates between them apart from just the price tag.

Does anyone on ths forum know why there is such a big difference in the price tag of the two models?

The cheaper one is CL9 and the other one is CL7.

The first one has a cas latency of 7 and timings of 7-8-8-24
The second one has a cas latency of 9 and timings of 9-9-9-24

The first has faster timings, but personally i wouldn't get either of them. I would get some Samsung "Wonder" Ram. This ram can overclock to 2400mhz and above, and at stock speeds can have timings of 7-7-7-19, which is faster than both of those sticks.

The timing on the CL7 is better than the CL9.

The CL9 runs at 9 9 9 24
The CL7 runs at 7 8 8 24
