Screen flicker just starting to appear - is my card dying?

Hello

I have a Radeon HD5770 that I've had for about a year and a half now I think and I'm just starting to get this screen flickering as seen in this video whenever windows move, or sometimes randomly:

Things I've tried:
-Double checked to ensure cables were connected correctly
-Double checked that I'm not overclocking anything (I wasn't)
-Updated drivers from 12.8->12.10
-Rebooting (Worked once, but now it seems to still do it after reboot).

Additional notes
-I haven't taken the card apart ever

Any suggestions or should I look into buying a new card?

Thanks!

Have you tried replacing the thermal paste on the card?

Did you take the card apart recently? I had that when my 6950 died from Vram Failure.

I haven't touched the card other than putting it into my system a long time ago and blowing off the dust every three months.

To me it looks like an heat issue. If it still does it after you change the thermal paste then the card is failing.

WAIT WAIT!!!!!!!
Did it happen right after you updated the driver?

no, I was having no issues, then it happened, then I tried updating the driver to try to fix it.

And it doesn't seem to affect games, but while typing this post, the entire screen is having a seizure. Seems like it is getting much worse over time. . .

Do you have a history of overvolting or using third party profiles to overclock more than CCC allows?
