Idle bug HD7950 with Windows 8

Thread Starter
So I decided to give Windows 8 a shot this morning. Card was running great with 300/150 downclocks on Windows 7 prior to upgrading. When Windows finished upgrading to 8, I now have the idle bug where the card won't downclock. Tried re-installing 12.10 for Win 8 x64 from ATI's website. No luck.

Any ideas?

Fully un-installed 12.10 and installed 12.9 beta. Back to 300/150 downclocks. Hopefully the 12.11 drivers are progressing that don't have the bug.

Install a pre 12.10 driver or go HDMI. I was using windows 8 and returned to 7. Its on both. Its relative to your gpu/monitor. I am using HDMI for now and it idles on 12.11.
